FEELIN’ LUCKY, PUNK?
I sure hope so because our next party is a St. Patrick’s Day EVE rager at Brooklyn’s Don Pedro, once called “Death Cult HQ” by none other than King Khan himself.
Of course, it’s not St Patty’s without the Irish, so we’ve enlisted one Lawrence May, Esquire, of BORN LOOSE to set all eyes a-smiling. This is the second year in the row that the ‘Loose have hit the Don Pedro stage for this most snake-ridding of holidays; if you were there last time you know that it was a pretty unforgettable, errr, display of all-outedness. This time the band are playing at the stroke of midnight (i.e. at the BEGINNING of the holiday); let’s see what happens!
But that’s from all… we’ve also got the OTHERMEN, garage nogoodniks extraordinaire, fresh off recording their second LP with Matt Verta-Ray at NY Hed. ..
AND two groops of ponks we’ve been hearing about for months– TIGHT SPOTS…
… and the NEIGHBORS.
Did I mention myself, O’Sea-mmy, will be DJing with my guest Grace O’Spades? Grace is known for the Soul Shakedown Saturdays in Park Slope as well as numerous spots DJing ska, soul and punk around town. She’ll be both Irish (and irie) for one night only. And I’ll be spinning the finest Irish rock’n'roll on 45 and LP plus non-Irish-but-still-kickass records.
Join the invite and see ya there. Wear green!
